My First Crochet Baby Hat

I have wanted to learn how to crochet since I was little. The problem is I'm left-handed and it's near impossible to find a lefty teacher. Thank goodness for youtube! I used this little tutorial here. I love how this turned out! I can't wait to give it to my friend for her little girl that's due in a couple weeks.

Oh, your hat is so lovely! You did a wonderful job! I'm a beginner crochet-er myself, but haven't done it in a while. I love your creation and the photo is just great, too!

I wish I had known you were looking to learn to crochet but were put of by being a lefty. I'm a lefty (very much, I can't do anything with my right hand). When I learnt to crochet, I learnt like a right hander and it's EASY. After all, I have the hook in my rubbish right hand and control the yarn with the left hand which is the important bit anyway. You should try it right-handedly as I actually don't think it's only appropriate for right handers. If you do want to crochet left-handedly, try thecrochetspot as they do tutes in both hands. You did a great job, the hat looks fab!
